Behind the new leaves which have just come out, what a spectacular spring view from the confines of the Parc du Bois de Coulonge! Saint-Michel cove, under a cloud, was completely immersed into shadow; I was attracted by the variety of colors and textures of this serene landscape alternating shadow and light, from the imposing cliff taking on a purplish hue, to the blues and greens of the background. The effect of depth is enhanced by the composition and use of several watercolor techniques.

Derrière les feuilles nouvelles qui viennent de sortir, quelle vue printanière spectaculaire depuis aux confins du Parc du Bois de Coulonge ! L'anse Saint-Michel, sous un nuage, était totalement plongée dans l'ombre ; j'ai été attiré par la variété des couleurs et des textures de ce paysage serein alternant ombre et lumière, depuis l'imposante falaise prenant une teinte violacée, jusqu'aux bleus et verts de l'arrière-plan. L'effet de profondeur est renforcé par la composition et l'utilisation de plusieurs techniques d'aquarelles.
